Discounted room rates will be approximately $146.00. You will be responsible for booking your own room. It would be very helpful if you book through the hotel directly because we have to guarantee a certain number of rooms that we will have to be responsible for and if people book through other systems, we won’t get that credit.
Initially, we have have 90 rooms reserved but will likely be able to add more within the month. They will probably just ask you to pay for the first night and then pay for the rest upon arrival.
Traveling by air: Fly in and out of Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport. This is 4 miles from the airport. You can take a taxi or Uber.
Amtrack and Greyhound and an assortment of taxis are in the area.
The hotel is about 45 minutes away from the Monroe Institute. Transportation will be provided on Sunday for the tour, to and from the airport.

We can not provide press passes (meaning we can not comp your entry fee). Still, we will have a special program to allow a limited number of press, podcasters, radio show and TV hosts to have special access to speakers and private rooms for interviews. Located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Monroe Institute sits on 300-plus peaceful rolling acres with panoramic mountain views. Just three hours from Washington, DC, and 45 minutes from Charlottesville, VA, Monroe has called Nelson County home for more than 45 years.
We have two retreat locations on our Virginia campus. At the base of the mountain is the Nancy Penn Center which accommodates up to 24 guests. Roberts Mountain Retreat, is just a 10-minute drive up the mountain. Originally Bob and Nancy’s home, the main house can sleep up to seven guests and a separate purpose-built annex accommodates thirteen more.
The Monroe Institute owns two of the largest crystals in North America. Some say … the largest. (One at each venue.)
There is an option to extend your experience with a Meditation Experience and/or one of the two additional program packages. (see Registration page). They can host 26 CHEC Unit experiences and 20 zero-gravity chair experiences.
