A retired Major in the United States Army, Paul was a seven-year veteran of the military remote viewing program, and author of the remote-viewing program’s Coordinate Remote Viewing (CRV) Training Manual.
The longest serving Controlled Remote Viewing (CRV) teacher active today, Paul H. Smith began his career as a remote viewing instructor in 1984. He served for seven years in the government’s Star Gate remote viewing program at Ft. Meade, MD (from September 1983 to August 1990). Starting in 1984, he became one of only five Star Gate personnel to be personally trained as remote viewers by the legendary founders of remote viewing, Ingo Swann and Dr. Harold E. Puthoff at SRI-International. Paul served as theory instructor for new CRV trainee personnel, as well as source recruiting officer, unit security officer, and unit historian. Paul is credited with over a thousand training and operational remote viewing sessions during his time with Star Gate.
He is president and chief instructor of Remote Viewing Instructional Services, Inc. in Cedar City, Utah, which for more than twenty years has offered quality remote viewing and consciousness-related instruction commercially. He is a founding director, and past president of the non-profit International Remote Viewing Association, and has taught seminars and guest-lectured on remote viewing and consciousness topics for universities, conferences, and businesses since retiring from the military in 1997.
He is author of Reading the Enemy’s Mind: Inside Star Gate: America’s Psychic Espionage Program and The Essential Guide to Remote Viewing: The Secret Military Remote Perception Skill Anyone Can Learn.
